This falls under general life advice and logic I guess. The only way to change your behaviors and think about how you do whatever it is that you do is to think about how you think. Think about it.

So take a step back and think not just of how you can solve a problem, but the why of how you solve a problem. The cool thing about being a person is that you can just jump to whatever level of think you want. Watch out for recursive logic that may fall under Godel’s Incompleteness Theorem. Because anything that is capable of thinking of everything must be able to think of the thing that can destroy itself. So think about the moral implications of that.

Pelosi is acting strange about waterboarding. There are three positibilities.

1. She was lied to by the CIA and didn’t know stuff was actually going on until recently.
2. She knew about it and didn’t raise a fuss because she had other battles to fight and probably didn’t know the applications. This was a moral failing of hers because waterboarding is torture because that is what we would call it if some GIs were waterboarded.
3. The third way. This way doesn’t care about what she knew. She wants to be investigated because it leaves open a door to allows Bush administration figures to be investigated. She may fall on her sword, but it holds a gun to the republicans for mutually assured destruction. Democrats want everybody to remember in 2010 and 2012 that the republicans are amoral and the small party of those who love Rush (Limbaugh) and Dick (Cheney).

So this is my theory. Democrats lure republicans into investigating what they know so the reverse situation can happen on a principle of fairness.

I may have had it along with a number of people around here who all got a bad flu for a few days. I was out from Thursday to this Sunday afternoon. My birthday kinda sucked. Morgan was so sweet to me and took care of me even though I was constantly hacking guck up. She made soup and cookies. Now she is coming down with it. I got stuck on an optics interference problem she had that made me question my skills, but I was on cold medicine. Sonic opened up today and it was good.

What just happened? Arlen Specter switched parties. That was a freebie. Obama did a bunch of stuff and a 60 seat majority with Al Franken seems likely. I think a bunch of us at Rose had the H1N1 Swine flu, but that is purely speculative. I think I am still decompressing from that election years. I think the economy will turn around by the 2010 elections and the democrats will have a mandate for universal single provider health-care and all will be good. That or some outside event will drive us into a deep recession and a bunch of far-right republicans institute the “everyone MUST carry a pistol, NO safety” policy.

Nobody will know for years how well this went. The pirate thing was cool. People try to talk about being post-racial while talking about how we need another woman or minority on the supreme court. What about an fair representation of left-handed people? Or what about Gernans? There are more Germans than African-Americans. What about children? A fair number of us are children. I don’t like affirmative action. Obama will soon decide his first supreme court justice. I think he will do something that is actually post-racial and pick a white male because most people qualified to be a supreme court justice are white. His decision will be very interesting for a former constitutional law professor who I think will be a supreme court justice after he retires from the oval office in eight years. He should be on the supreme court. I will note that this justice seemed to have waited until Bush left to leave himself. Everything I hear about him seems good even though he is pro-life even though he ruled that row v. wade was still precident. He just want to go to New Hampshire and hang out with cows or something cool like that.

Every year elephants in Africa migrate to the very coastline of south Africa. They time it to coincide with migration of Blue Whales. They both sit facing each other – probably without seeing each other. This will a meeting of the largest land organism and the largest sea organism. They are kings of their own respective ecosystems. They produce low-frequency sound and hear it through the water and ground. They talk just because they can and because it is a smaller world for larger creatures.

I have no confirmation on if this is true or not. I know a number of people that would just tell me this. But the charm of it so great. I know I could just look it up on wikipedia. There is no fun in this. I would rather live in bliss to know that something like this happens. Me being enchanted with nature will not hurt me. This can be my religion of believing that elephants and blue whales co-migrate and talk.

I will also provide a great story that is not true and is not for founding a religion. It is about an amazing suicide that will make you think about who is guilty of what.
